Elizabeth M. Murray
Project Management Institute
Central Virginia Chapter Scholarship
The Project Management Institute Central Virginia Chapter Scholarship was established in 2001 through a pledge from the Central Virginia Chapter of the Project Management Institute. The scholarship honors Elizabeth M. Murray, a founding member and past president of the Central Virginia Chapter. Under the Merit Scholarship Program, the chapter’s pledge was matched 1:1 by the VCU Foundation and the VCU Alumni Association, for a total endowment of $20,000.
The School of Business awards the Project Management Institute Central Virginia Chapter Scholarship to a meritorious student enrolled in an academic program of study at VCU related to project management. The scholarship can be renewed for three additional years provided the student remains in good academic standing.

Memorial Enactus at UVA Scholarship
In January 2014, the Washington DC Chapter turned over the Charlottesville zip codes to become part of the Central Virginia Chapter footprint. As part of that agreement, we agreed to continue giving a donation to ENACTUS at UVA annually ($300). The purpose of the fund is to support and promote ENACTUS activities related to Project Management at UVA.
In December 2018, one of our long-time volunteers and Board members, Cindy Parcell, lost her battle with cancer. She had a bachelor’s and master’s degree from UVA. Our Board voted to rename the UVA scholarship to honor and remember her.
