V.P. of Education for the Central Virginia Chapter, Kerrie Arkwell, spoke at the in-person INCOSE/PMICVC meeting. She presented her topic called "Inclusive Team Leadership."  Tapping into the power of Inclusion as a Project Leader. The group of mostly PMICVC members in the Northern Virginia area learned more about ways to step up their leadership game.

Kerrie Arkwell is a senior Program Manager currently supporting the State Conference of Banking Supervisors, after retiring from the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond in 2020.  Kerrie received her PMP in 2010 and has been an active member of Central Virginia Chapter ever since.  She has been a part of several volunteer teams over the years including Military Liaison, President, Membership and Education.  She is passionate about development overall with a focus on transitioning between traditional project management and agile as well as the "soft skills" and competencies around leadership, communications, etc.   She believes in collaboration with PMI Global and bringing the value of all their resources to CVC members, while getting to understand who our members are and what do they need.

The Transformative Journey from PMBOK 6 to PMBOK 7

Fantastic guest speaker, and PMICVC V.P. of Operations, Marion Karol delivered keen insight of the differences between the PMBOK 6 and 7 versions.
The event, held at Park Lane Tavern in Fredericksburg, provided an excellent in-person experience that drew over 20 PMICVC and InCose Members.

We wish Marion well as she's making a big move with a new employer, and will begin to transition her PMICVC role to another volinteer board member of the Operations Team.
