Monthly Meetings with Professional Speakers

Every month PMICVC hosts two live-virtual events; the second Thursday and third Wednesday. Each meeting offers pre-meeting networking opportunities, a business session, and a program on a topic related to project, portfolio or program management, or on the soft skills by which project managers excel. As a member, you are granted free access opportunities to these events saving you an average of $20-$30 a month.

PMI CVC is made up of project management professionals from many different organizations in Central Virginia and beyond. PMI CVC members have extensive project management expertise across numerous industries. Networking with others provides an opportunity to share best practices and ideas.

Authorized Training Partners (ATP)

Individuals are encouraged to begin on the path to becoming PMI certified by attending valuable certification workshops offered by PMI certified ATPs. You do not have to be a PMI or CVC member to take the workshop or become certified. However, there are significant discounts for PMICVC members taking the workshops and the certification tests that make the cost of membership a true value.

Volunteer Opportunities

Earn Professional Development Units (PDUs) while you network with other project management professionals and support the Chapter by volunteering for a committee or event. Volunteer opportunities offer a way to earn PDUs at no cost to you.

By joining PMI Central Virginia Chapter, you also get the ability to join the affiliated Toastmasters club and work on improving your elevator pitch and public speaking skills, as well as network with your fellow local Project Management professionals.
