Speaker:  Peter McFarren, President and CEO at Pears Health Americas LLC

Bio: Peter is an accomplished and innovative professional with experience working in international development, fundraising, communications, marketing, multimedia as well as developing, managing and fundraising for health, museums, tourism, education, social, cultural and information and communication technology projects at an international level.  He’s also an active player in corporate social responsibility and social entrepreneurship. He has lived and worked in Latin America and Egypt for over 40 years.  He recently moved to Charlottesville to be close to his family, including his grandchildren and is active in several local nonprofit organizations.

Description of Presentation: In this presentation, Peter will share his experiences of designing and implementing projects in Latin America and Egypt, including both not for project cultural and commercial projects. He’ll discuss projects in the agro-industrial, petro-chemical and energy sections that take into consideration the political, social and economic environment.
