Seminar Description: Microsoft SharePoint is a platform for sharing documents, everybody knows that. But did you know that SharePoint also has all the capabilities needed to manage projects? Raise your game, go beyond Excel and come find out about Microsoft SharePoint's potential to be your Project Management Information System. You'll hear about how SharePoint can be used to track tasks and task assignments, task percent completed, do charting and dashboards, send email alerts, and maintain audit trails, all out of the box with no coding required! And don't worry, SharePoint integrates tightly with Excel, so all of your Excel tricks and experience can still be used.

Key Learning Objectives:

  • Attendees will learn how to create lists to track project tasks and show percent complete, start and end dates, and status.
  • Attendees will learn how to add out of the box workflows, like the approval workflow for approving a task to be worked on and the three state workflow for alerting stakeholders when a task status has changed.
  • Attendees will learn how to create dashboards of project information, like a KanBan board for what needs to done, what is in progress and what is completed.
