Bio: Seyi Kuks is a Project Management Professional that specializes in planning and controlling projects effectively, with a demonstrated history of success in Production, Construction, and Entertainment. 

Overview: Microsoft Project Essential Training:
In this workshop, Kuks introduces you to the MS Project user interface. You’ll get to plan and control a project, including creating filters, layouts, baselines, & reports.

A “Microsoft Project Essentials Training” completion certificate is awarded.

Outline:
1. Introduction
2. Configuring preferences
3. Creating a project
4. Maintaining calendars
5. Creating the WBS
6. Adding activities
7. Formatting the schedule (bar chart, relationships, constraints, and filters)
8. Printing reports
9. Updating schedule and baseline comparison

 

Prerequisites:
1. Experience in a project environment
2. Understanding of how projects are planned and controlled
3. Basic project management processes
4. Understanding of Deliverables and development of a Work Breakdown Structure
5. Experience in the use of PCs and an understanding of the operating system
6. A laptop (Instructions to download the free trial Microsoft Project software will be provided). *Only needed if you don't have it.*
