Barry has extensive experience with the creation, deployment, maturation, and sustainment of PMOs. His team was recognized by PMI with the 2016 PMO of the Year finalist award. His proven approach is agnostic with respect to industry, company size, and maturity level. Audience interaction facilitates discussion of real-life scenarios. 

Biography:

Barry Draskovich is the President of Solving for Alpha Consulting LLC. Immediately prior, he was Group Vice President of Program and Contract Management for Parker Aerospace (a $7B+ operating group of Parker Hannifin Corporation) where he was responsible for the development and implementation of standardized program and contract management policies, processes and tools; improving structural alignment, resulting in increased skills, competencies, and execution performance across the business.

Barry has served on the Board of Directors for Advanced Atomization Technologies LLC (a joint venture between Parker Hannifin Corporation and General Electric Company), Meggitt Defense Systems Inc., and the Greater Irvine (CA) Chamber of Commerce. He also was an executive member of the CEO Leadership Alliance of Orange County and an active participant on Executive Roundtables for World Commerce and Contracting (formerly IACCM) and the University of California – Irvine.

He also served as the Global Integration Program Manager for the Meggitt Plc acquisition, recently noted by an industrial analyst as possibly one of the most successful aerospace transactions of the past decade.

Barry has over 40 years of experience in aerospace, defense, advanced materials, and consumer electronics, with Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems, Honeywell Aerospace, Mobility Electronics, AlliedSignal Aerospace, and Pratt & Whitney prior to joining Parker. His assignments have spanned executive leadership roles in program management, contract management, engineering, and mission assurance/quality.

Barry has established a proven methodology for improving corporate productivity through the implementation of processes, tools, and techniques critical for precise business execution in both small start-up companies and multi-national corporations.

Barry holds a BS degree in metallurgical engineering and a MS degree in materials science from the University of Pittsburgh. He is certified as a Project Management Professional through the Project Management Institute and is certified in Six Sigma and Design for Six Sigma. In addition, his team was recognized as a finalist for the 2016 PMO of the Year award from the Project Management Institute. He holds six US patents. Barry was instrumental in Parker Aerospace being awarded the inaugural Excellence in the Practice of Management award from the Peter F. Drucker School of Management at Claremont Graduate University in 2024.
