October 2023 Fredericksburg In-Person Dinner Meeting
Heather Crampton is an IT Program Manager, having worked as a federal government contractor for the Department of Education and most recently the Department of State. She has specialized skills in leading support teams through daily operations, troubleshooting, deployments, maintenance, and configuration changes through Agile methodologies
Heather began as a project manager for a major Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs application. While the project manager, she was able to spearhead the operations team to deploy redundant systems at geographically dispersed data centers, while working to maintain 99.9999% uptime. Heather then became the program manager, managing a staff of 40 with a contract value in excess of $60m. Under her leadership, she was able to transform waterfall software development to full-scale agile within one year, reducing the amount of time for software changes to be deployed by half.
She currently holds a PMP, MS in Cybersecurity, ISC2 CISSP Associate, Agile and ITIL certifications.
In her spare time, you can catch her baking, hiking, biking, and paddle boarding, volunteering at a swim meet, or tending to her chickens, bees or super spunky pup.
