PMI CVC Director of Special Projects & Toastmasters Andrey V. Karpov will talk about a different perspective on Agile Transformation that led him to not only streamline the projects that he managed for his employers internationally but also helped him reshape his own mindset leading to him rediscovering Agile Manifesto, the Twelve Principles, and Ikigai as the foundations of his personal transformation that led to his success in his current role as a Business Development Manager & IT Recruiter at International Consulting Services, LLC and Founder & Agile Transformation Coach at TrueAgilityRVA.
Speaker's Bio:
Andrey has been with PMI CVC for about 4 years (since October of 2019) and has served as the Director of Social Media, Interim Director of Technology & Newsletter, and now serves as the Director of Special Projects & Toastmasters. He has played an important role along with others at our Chapter in terms of helping and orchestrating key projects such as moving from Zoho to M365 technology platform, expanding social media and newsletter presence of the Chapter, as well as actively promoting the Chapter to new members and volunteers in the local IT, PM, and BA community that he is heavily integrated with.
Andrey is a Certified Agile Project/Product Manager and has over 10 years of experience in international financial services, U.S. Government contracting consulting, and nonprofit technology space, as well as 20 years of experience in sales, key account management, and company operations. He holds Certified ScrumMaster and Certified Scrum Product Owner designations from Scrum Alliance, as well as SAFe DevOps Practitioner certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. He is currently studying for his PMP exam through Community College Workforce Alliance and plans to take the test in Fall of 2023.
Apart from his present day-time State Government IT recruiting role at International Consulting Services LLC, Andrey is the Founder, Agile Evangelist, Coach, Speaker, and Blogger at TrueAgilityRVA – his social startup brand that focuses on cultivating Agile mindset and culture in the local RVA community, State of Virginia, and online for individual clients and business customers. Andrey also serves as a Business Development Advisor and Volunteer Coordinator on the Board of IT4Causes which is a local nonprofit that helps other nonprofits with their technology through skilled volunteers and disadvantaged interns. Finally, he also helps with resume reviews/writing, as well as technology training at a local church-based career transition group Career Prospectors and Jobs Assistance Ministry.
Andrey has a personal acumen focused on productive work, continuous learning, and high standards of integrity. He led teams of up to 250 people, managed portfolios of over 150 B2B/B2G/B2C key clients, and generated revenues of $10M+ year. Andrey is a servant leader and a team player with passion for business Agility and focus on employee humanity that gets the job done. When Andrey is not working or volunteering, he loves spending time with his dog, exercising, and reading.
