Description of presentation:

Leading change in organizations has become an unparalleled challenge. People are faced with more uncertainty and ambiguity in the workplace than ever before. Although we tend to think of work in terms of projects, activities, and deliverables, the brain experiences the workplace first and foremost as a social system. The latest research in neuroscience sheds new light on what drives human behavior. Recent studies suggest that there are five domains that activate reward or threat circuitry in the human brain - status, certainty, autonomy, relatedness, and fairness. Understanding these domains can explain how people respond in social situations and why change is often met with resistance.

This presentation will explore some of these research findings and the application in a project setting. Project managers will learn how to use these findings to improve stakeholder collaboration, foster engagement and increase commitment to projects, to deliver the greatest business value.
