Speaker: Ms. Kristy Shifflett, Project Management Office Director for Albemarle County
Topic: Opportunities & Challenges of a PMO Start Up in Local Government
Bio: Ms. Kristy Shifflett serves as the first Project Management Office Director, created in July 2018. In her role, she manages the strategic plan, technology and operational projects and works with Executive leadership to forecast and develop the project portfolio for cross functional efforts. Ms. Shifflett joined the County of Albemarle in 2012 and has served roles in Finance and Budget prior to becoming the Senior project manager for the County’s Strategic Plan. Prior to her experience in local government, Ms. Shifflett was a senior consultant for Deloitte Consulting for 9 years supporting Intelligence Sector clients in project management, process re-engineering, and financial management.
