Speaker's Bio
Nicholas Fronzo is the Aegis Program Director at NSWCDD. He has been in this position since 2012 though he has been in the Aegis Program for several years. Prior to this time he was a systems engineer, developing AEGIS Baseline 8.0 and providing technical support to the in-service AEGIS fleet. Nick holds a MS in Systems Engineering from Navy Postgraduate School and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He will complete an MBA from the University of Mary Washington in December 2022. Nick, CMDR Fronzo, is a Surface Warfare Officer in the Navy Reserve and have had 3 combat deployments. He served as the Integrated Air & Missile Defense officer for US Central Command, Fire Control Officer onboard USS Chung-Hoon (DDG 93) and Engineering officer with Mine Countermeasure Crew Fearless. Nick will talk about the AEGIS engineering processes and the program management organization that he uses to execute the program and integrate BL9 and BL 10 Upgrades to Aegis.
