Networking for Introverts (1.5 PDU)

When you want to move in your career, what matters is that people know you, remember you, and like you.  If you have an outgoing personality, meeting people comes easy. But what if you're an introvert? Were you taught to network? For most of us, the answer is NO. With this presentation, you will be taught exactly what networking is about and how to network effectively. Networking is a process. Once you understand the process, you can learn to be effective while still in your comfort zone.  There are five key steps to networking and when you follow them consistently you will see great results. This talk will outline the five steps and give you tangible actions that you can apply in your life today to start building a strong and reliable professional network.

In 2011, Dale wrote the book 'Resumes are Worthless', which outlines just a few of the successful business methods that have helped Dale achieve the successes. Dale sits on the advisory boards for Tech Birmingham and the Alabama Information Technology Association. He is a member of the National Speakers Association. Dale was recognized in 2011 as one of UAB's 40 School of Engineering Graduates Making A Difference and received the 2013 UAB Graduate School Dean's Award for Excellence in Mentorship
