 Opening Keynote – John Stenbeck  


John Stenbeck, PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, CSP

BIO – John Stenbeck is the Founder of GR8PM, Inc.  John is the best-selling author of "PMI-ACP ® and Certified Scrum Professional Exam Prep and Desk Reference" that achieved of $1million in sales as well as "Agile Government Contracting".  He has a combined background in Accounting, Operations, IT, and Project Management.

John is a sought-after Keynote speaker delivering over 50 events a year for the past 5 years, specializes in programs that engage hard-to-impress technical and engineering professionals with a unique Keynote-Workshop style that returns them to work...enabled to be powerfully productive!  John has taught over 9,500 students in public and corporate onsite events.

He has been a guest on Good Morning America, the Today Show, the Oprah Winfrey Show and VoiceAmerica talk radio. He has been featured on the front page of the Los Angeles Times and the San Diego Union.



Closing Keynote – Colonel (retired) Matthew Klimow 



BIO – Matthew S. Klimow is a distinguished soldier-statesman who served his country both in uniform and as a diplomat.  He is currently a senior advisor at the United States Department of State in Washington, D.C. and a member of the career Senior Executive Service. 

His previous service includes being Deputy Assistant Secretary General of NATO in Brussels, Belgium where he oversaw transition planning for the new 44-acre NATO headquarters, the largest public works project in Europe.  He also held diplomatic assignments that include Executive Director of the Bureau of Consular Affairs and the Bureau of Administration.

While in uniform, Colonel (retired) Klimow served in assignments that include the White House Special Advisor to the Vice President of the United States, Military Advisor to the Secretary of State, and Executive Assistant to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.  He commanded troops at the battalion and brigade level and was awarded the Silver Star, the nation’s 3rd highest award for valor in combat.  Colonel Klimow is a West Point graduate, where he was captain of the West Point Marathon Team.  He is married to Major (retired) Edie Gunnels and has one son who is a government attorney.



David Walizer

BIO: David Walizer is a senior consultant with extensive experience improving the end-to-end customer experience and achieving operational efficiencies. He is adept at executing transformation efforts while fostering positive team and stakeholder relations. His career includes senior roles with GE, Bank of America, EY and Humana.

As a consultant, David has helped organizations to develop and implement customer-centric processes including contact center and claims operations. David has lead significant cost savings and revenue growth efforts using various process design and redesign frameworks. A gifted coach & trainer, he not only executes change, but enables it to perpetuate.

David's certifications include: Six Sigma (Lean) Master Black Belt, Design For Six Sigma (DFSS), Certified Scrum Master (Agile)

BIO: John Gates is Co-Founder and Partner with the management consulting firm Avion Consulting, Inc.  John is also co-author of the recently published book, “How Leaders Improve: A Playbook for Leaders Who Want to Get Better Now,” an Amazon #1 New Release in Business & Finance, as well as the upcoming book, “The Five Coaching Conversations.”

The mission of John and his colleagues at Avion Consulting is to unleash potential in people, and John has worked with thousands of leaders and team members in a wide range of industries over the last twenty years as a coach, consultant, workshop facilitator, and presenter.  John has delivered keynote addresses to large audiences in leading companies around the world as well as professional organizations, including the Association for Talent Development, and he has also been a guest on VoiceAmerica talk radio.  John has a PhD from the University of Southern California.


Michael J. Hughes

BIO: Michael Hughes specializes in helping professionals increase results by improving their ability to develop and leverage relation-ships. For the last twenty-plus years, he has been coaching business, corporate and sales professionals to achieve better results.  His client list includes Alcatel-Lucent, Dell, Sun Microsystems, Staples, RBC Royal Bank, Sunlife, Ball State University and the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Michael has done extensive research on, and is a specialist in, utilizing networking as a business strategy. His most unique characteristic is that he has built his company from an idea to a six-figure speaking and consulting practice annually using networking as his sole marketing strategy.

William McGuire


BIO: William is a results-oriented senior leader with data, project, program, PMO, and solution architecture accomplishments, including multiple years in a private global IT services company.  He is a constant learner and emerging technologies enthusiast.  In 2017, he was accepted to participate as a "hacker" at the inaugural 2018 ETHDenver event and has spoken on blockchain, ML and AI technology in talks and meetups. 

William resides in North Chesterfield, VA with his wife, son, daughter, and puppy dog named Carolina who wears a red collar as a compromise since his wife is a UNC fan.  William graduated from NC State in Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering with a Minor in Entrepreneurship and currently works with Impact Makers as a Senior Consultant.

BIO: Michael Milutis is an INFP committed to human capital development, continuous workplace learning, and corporate mindfulness. He works with technology organizations to develop innovative learning cultures and he coaches individuals and teams so that they can develop continuously, grow personally, and realize their highest potential.

Since 1997, Michael has worked in marketing, new business development, and  L&D for Computer Aid, Inc (CAI), an international IT services and support firm.  He is also the creator and director of CAI’s IT Metrics and Productivity Institute, an organization devoted to continuous learning and career development within the global IT community.

Mike O'Brochta PMP, PMI-ACP

BIO: Mike has worked in project management for over thirty years at the CIA where he led the development of highly complex, top-secret projects, programs and systems, and where he led the development of their project management and systems engineering program to mature practices agency-wide.

As founder of Zozer inc, he helped develop and implement the new government-wide Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Managers; through his consulting, he is helping organizations raise their level of project management performance. Mike recently served as Chair of the PMI Ethics Member Advisory Group. He is a sought after speaker and has been featured in PMI Today, PM Network, CIO Magazine, Information Week, Government Executive Magazine, and

Mike writes and speaks extensively about project management, and has just published his new book titled “How To Get Executives To Act For Project Success.” Since his climb of another of the world’s seven summits, he has been exploring the relationship between project management and mountain climbing.



Dr. David Rico, PMP, CSEP, ACP, CSM, FCP, FCT, SAFe Agilist

Dr. David Rico

BIO: Dr. Rico oversees a multi-billion-dollar IT portfolio. He’s been a technical leader in support of NASA, Navy, Air Force, and Army for over 30 years. He has led over 30 change initiatives based on Cloud Computing, CI, CD, DevOps(Sec), Microservices, Lean, Agile, SOA, Web Services, Six Sigma, FOSS, PMBoK, ISO 9001, CMMI, Baldrige, TQM, DoDAF, DoD 5000, etc.

He specializes in IT investment analysis, portfolio valuation, and organization change. He’s been an international keynote and conference speaker, authored seven textbooks and numerous articles, and is a frequent PMI, INCOSE, ALN, and SPIN speaker.

Dr. Rico is a Certified PMP, CSEP, ACP, CSM, FCP, FCT, SAFe Agilist, and DevOps expert, and teaches at seven Washington, DC universities. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science, M.S. in Software Engineering, and D.M. in Information Systems. He has been in the IT field since 1983.



Claudia Skinner, M.S, PMP, ITIL, SPC


BIO: Ms. Skinner is the Founder and Sr. Consulting Partner at ICS Consulting Services where she is responsible for all aspects of the firm as well as providing consulting services to executives looking for experts in change, program, project management. ICS Consulting Services, LLC, is a business management consulting firms providing leadership and management of strategic initiatives around the Global.   Previous clients include:  Ligado Networks, AIG, Metlife, PCORI and the CensusBureau.  

With over 20 years of professional experience in project management and morethan 10 years leading Business and Technology Transformation projects, Ms. Skinner is considered an expert in change management, project/project/portfolio management as well as a leader and change agent. Ms. Skinner was one of the PMP prep instructor for the PMI Washington DC chapter.
